Common Questions
What People Ask
"A logo is a symbol. A brand is a feeling. We spend the time to make sure your business evokes both the right image and the right emotion." — The Beefy approach to brand identity
Logo Design
How long does a logo design project take?
A logo-only project typically takes 2–4 weeks from kickoff to final delivery. That includes the discovery phase, initial concepts, revision rounds, and final file export. Rush timelines are available if you need to move faster.
How many logo concepts will I see?
We typically present 2–3 distinct directions — each based on your brief, industry, and audience. From there we refine the chosen direction together. We'd rather give you two strong, considered concepts than ten generic ones.
Can you refresh my existing logo instead of starting from scratch?
Absolutely. A logo refresh modernizes your mark while preserving the recognition you've already built. We'll assess what's working, what's holding you back, and evolve it — not erase it.
What file formats will I receive?
You'll get everything — AI, EPS, SVG, PNG, and PDF formats, in both full-color and single-color versions, on transparent and white backgrounds. Print-ready and web-ready, covered.
Will I own the logo outright?
Yes, 100%. Once the project is paid in full, all rights transfer to you. You can use it anywhere, anytime, with no royalties or restrictions.
Brand Identity
What's the difference between a logo and a brand?
A logo is a mark — a visual symbol. A brand is the full experience: how you look, how you sound, how you make people feel. We build both. The logo is the starting point, not the finish line.
What does a full brand identity package include?
It varies by scope, but typically includes your logo suite, color palette, typography system, iconography, brand voice guidelines, and a brand standards document so your team — and any vendor — can apply the brand consistently.
How long does a full branding project take?
A complete brand identity typically takes 4–8 weeks. Larger or more complex projects can run longer. We'll scope the timeline clearly before we start and keep you updated throughout.
Do you work with startups or only established businesses?
Both. We've built brands from day one for brand-new businesses and led full rebrands for companies with decades of history. The process adapts to where you are — the commitment to quality doesn't.
What if I already have some brand elements I want to keep?
We work with what you have. If your logo is solid but everything else is inconsistent, we build around it. If your colors are the only thing worth saving, we save those. We don't rebrand for the sake of it.
Design in General
Do you handle print design as well as digital?
Yes — business cards, brochures, signage, trade show displays, packaging, pitch decks, and more. If it needs to look great in the real world, we design it.
Can you design marketing materials that match my brand?
That's exactly what we do. Once your brand is set, we apply it consistently across every touchpoint — social graphics, ad creatives, email templates, presentations, and print collateral.
Do I need to know what I want before we start?
Not at all. Our discovery process is designed to help you get clear on direction, even if you're starting with just a feeling or a business name. We ask the right questions so the design answers them.
How involved will I be in the design process?
As involved as you want to be. We work collaboratively — you'll see work in progress, give feedback, and shape the direction. But if you prefer to trust us and review at milestones, we can work that way too.
